FamilySearch.org – Maintained by the Latter Day Saints, whose large database contains U.S. Census, vital records and much more. No membership required to create a family tree.

Cyndislist.com – Cyndi’s List is a large database of thousands of categorized genealogical resources.

Archives.gov – Maintained by the U.S. government, this site contains U.S. Census, vital records, military records, and old newspapers.

USGenWeb.org – The U.S. GenWeb Project maintains a page for each state in the U.S. with links to local genealogy resources and information. This is a "must-visit" site for all genealogy researchers.

Stevemorse.orgSteve Morse’s ‘One-Step Pages’ is a quick, go-to resource for information on immigration records, passenger ship lists & more.

Afrigeneas.com – Resource for African American records.

Jewishgen.org – Resource for those with Jewish ancestry.

Mocavo.com – Large genealogy database of free records. Registration is required.

Findagrave.com and Billiongraves.com – Locate the cemetery where your ancestor is buried, along with a possible photo of their headstone and family tree information. 

Genealogy.coach - Professional genealogists who can provide as little or as much help as needed.

Digital Public Library of America - Sixteen million plus items from libraries, archives and museums can be accessed through this website. Excellent source for finding something on your ancestor in another state.

YouTube.com – Source for genealogy educational videos.

·        Google Search Engine – search for records, surname organizations, history, etc.
·        Google Books – biographies, autobiographies on individuals, towns, counties, etc.
·        Google Translate – resource to translate vital records, stories and documents
·        Google  Earth – resource to determine boundaries of cities/countries throughout  
history, and locate an ancestors home with a possible street view
